World Cup 2022 tickets: Prices & how to buy

The 2022 World Cup is a matter of months away and hosts Qatar are gearing up for a historic tournament.

With all 32 teams now identified and a route to the final drawn out for the favourites of the tournament, fans are eager to get their hands on the much sought-after tickets to the world’s biggest sporting event.

So how much are tickets and where can you buy them? GOAL brings you all the details you need to attend the tournament.

How to buy World Cup 2022 tickets

World Cup tickets can be purchased through the official FIFA website, where fans will need to register an account on FIFA’s ticket portal.

For the 2022 World Cup, 1.8 million tickets have already been sold, with top ticket-buying nations being India, England, France, Canada, Spain, the USA, Germany, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, as well as the hosts, Qatar.

The second round of ticket sales, which FIFA described as a “random selection draw sales period”, has now concluded, but fans will have one more chance to purchase tickets in the third and final round of sales tickets.

The third and final window for purchasing tickets will go live on Tuesday, July 5 at 10am BST (5am ET) and will close on close on August at 10am BST (5am ET).

Remaining tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis and a queue system will apply in the event of high demand.

World Cup 2022 ticket prices

FIFA has divided ticket prices for the World Cup into four categories.

Category one, two, and three will be available to fans all over the world via online ticket sales, while Category four is only available to Qatar residents.
