The speed limit for buses is fixed at 80 kmph. To ensure this, RTA has verified that the speed governors installed in the buses are operationally stable. One 6kg fire extinguisher should be installed if the bus is carrying less than 50 children and two if it is carrying more than 50 children.

Emergency doors other than the driver’s door and the child door are mandatory. The functioning of the GPS system in the buses was also checked.
