Officials announce special rewards for the best drivers in Dubai. Drivers receive special discounted rewards from retail outlets and companies. In this connection, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) RTA in Dubai has announced a loyalty program to evaluate the performance of bus and taxi drivers. The aim of the scheme is to improve the well-being of drivers by reflecting positively on their performance.

The 200 drivers who perform best in each quarter will be selected and categorized into two levels. Level One includes the top 20 bus drivers and the top 80 taxi drivers; Each will receive 10,000 loyalty points. Level two includes the top 20 bus drivers and the top 80 taxi drivers; Each will receive 5,000 loyalty points. Drivers receive special discounts from retail outlets and companies based on loyalty points on loyalty cards.

Criteria for selecting the best drivers

The RTA sets the criteria for selecting and evaluating drivers’ performance for a loyalty program.
The selection process will be based on the bus driver assessment system, taxi driver behavior assessment and smart checking system.
By 2023, the loyalty program will include other categories, including limo drivers, rental coach drivers, and school bus drivers.
