Abu Dhabi Police with conditions for e-scooter ride. Abu Dhabi Police has released the rules to be followed by electric scooter riders through social media platforms. The move is part of efforts to ensure rider safety. The guidelines are based on safety regulations issued last month by the Abu Dhabi Public Transport Regulator, the Municipalities Department and the Transport Department’s Integrated Transport Center for riders of bicycles, electric bikes and other micromobility equipment.

These are the safety guidelines

Do not use headphones while riding a scooter

Wear a helmet when riding an electric scooter.
Keep a safe distance from pedestrians, other cyclists and riders.
Each electric scooter can have only one rider.
Do not carry objects that may upset the balance of your bike.
Wear appropriate clothing and shoes, including reflector cloth, at night.
