Does Delhivery pick-up from home?

Delhivery does pick-up from home and charges Rs. 50 per package for it, but you need to provide a copy of the Aadhar card or Voter ID proof before they will make the delivery. They also have their own service centers where people can drop off packages without paying any fees if they do so on time. 

Does Delhivery deliver on Sunday?

No, Delhivery does not deliver on Sundays. 

How much Delhivery charge?

Delhivery has a flat fee of Rs. 300 for all shipments under 30kg with no other charges per product. The delivery service is free and covered by the flat rate across India, except for some areas in Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman, and the Nicobar Islands which have additional area surcharges based on distance from the nearest major city. Delhivery was established in May 2011. It was initially conceived as a hyperlocal reveal delivery company for offline stores, delivering flowers and food in your area in the city of Gurgaon for the very first few months considering that its creation. Creators Barua and Tandon, who were at the time working as consultants with the management consulting company, Bain & Company, were captivated by the size and potential of the industry and decided to concentrate on the segment. In June 2011, Delhivery signed its first e-commerce customer, Urban Touch, which is an online fashion and beauty seller. By August 2011, Delhivery had actually changed totally to providing logistics services to a variety of e-commerce business.

In November 2016 Delhivery announced that they have acquired Tradelab Technologies Pvt Ltd., India’s leading technology-driven supply chain management platform for quick-service restaurants (QSRs). Delhivery plans to leverage Tradelab’s technology and insights from QSRs like KFC, Pizza Hut, Burger King, etc. for its food tech business that is currently in the works.

In May 2017 Delhivery announced the acquisition of Blackbuck (formerly known as Geodesic). BlackBuck provides logistics services through an on-demand platform connecting road transportation providers with shippers. The all-cash deal was worth around $120 million including future consideration subject to performance milestones over a period of time.

Blackbuck will continue operating under the brand name BlackBuck while leveraging synergies with Delhivery’s existing supply chain network across India by offering interconnectivity between roads and other modes such as railways or air cargo networks at scale & speed.

Delhivery’s existing investors include Warburg Pincus, Multiples Alternate Asset Management LLP, and Nexus Venture Partners who have invested $100 million in the company to date. 

Services Delhivery provides are truly world-class, but its shipments can be difficult to track if you do not know the right way. 

In March 2019, Delhivery raised its biggest round of funding with a $413 million investment from Softbank.

Creator Sahil Barua is the CEO of Delhivery. IIT-Kanpur alumnus Amit Agarwal, who was earlier the vice president-finance at Delhivery, took over the role of CFO. In December 2018, Barua also revealed the onboarding of Mukta Limaye to lead the engineering development group at Delhivery.
