A chance to see the falcon competition in UAE too; First edition in December

The inaugural edition will be held from December 7 to 14 this year at the Al Ruwaiya grounds in Dubai. Five races are divided into three rounds in three categories of Sheikhs, Public and Owners over a distance of over 400 meters. The competition consists of Jeer Shaheen (Farq), Jeer Theba (Farq), Pure Jeer (Farq) and Kharmousha (Farq). The championship will consist of 12 main rounds. Four rounds for each category of Sheikh, Public and Owner.

Sheikh Ahmed has also directed to organize the UAE Falcons Federation Cup Championship every year as an affirmation of the federation’s continuous efforts to support and promote this sport. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed thanked H.H Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, for supporting the sport.

Sheikh Hamdan contributed a lot to this sport and inspired the participants. His initiatives contributed to the popularity of the sport. He knows the importance of reviving this ancient heritage sport as the importance of the championship increases. While presiding over the board of directors meeting of the UAE Falcons Federation, Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed gave the instruction to hold the championship.
